Hi Melanie,
This is a little strange. Do you have click Email Events for other non-dynamic links in your system? Or is it possible there's just a delay in getting your Email Events back in?
Hi Melanie,

Yes, have received click thru date from other non-dynamic links. This is the first time this happened, so I thought that might be why but not sure. Not a delay, this was right before Thanksgiving and have not received any updated data for clicks.
I am creating a new form that will include a required file upload. I would like to limit the file upload to only .txt files to avoid the possible upload of any malicious files. I cannot seem to find a setting that will restrict file type for the file upload feature anywhere. Can someone please point me to it?
There is not a way to do this to stop the field from allowing it, but CRM will still respect the file extensions you allow on Notes in CRM. I will add this as a feature request though. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hi Allison,
Thank you for the reply. How does ClickDimensions keep people from uploading malicious files on these forms? I'm a bit unclear about the security of the file upload feature. It seems to me that someone could upload any sort of executable or virus or malicious file. If this were to happen, how does ClickDimensions keep this from affecting/infecting our database and CRM system?
Thanks,
Heidi
Hi Heidi,
You're welcome! The only file type that our forms do not allow is .exe so that that can't happen. Other than that it's based on your CRM settings for the file types allowed.
Hi Melanie,
I checked on this and dynamic links will come in as Click Email Events, but on the Email Events view the "Link" will be listed, which won't include any dynamic content. If you double-click on that event then you'll see the original address you added under the "URL" including the dynamic content. I've included screenshots to better illustrate this. Is it possible that this is what is happening?
Hi Courtney,
I checked and it is not showing that there are clicks in email events. I looked at the Test that I sent as an actual email send and that I know I clicked the link in that email and it shows email events as open and deliver. No clicks. Any other thoughts?
Hi Allison,
Thank you for this information. I wasn't aware that there are CRM settings that only allow certain files types. Would you mind pointing me toward those settings?
Thanks,
Heidi
Hi Heidi,
Yes, just go to Settings > Administration > System Settings and its on that first tab to "set blocked file extensions for attachments".
Hi Melanie,
Okay, thank you for checking. I think we need to escalate this to a ticket so we can take a look at your template. Would you mind creating one by sending an email to support@clickdimensions.com ? You can even just copy and paste this thread in there. I'll see your submission and continue to help you there.
Thank you!
Thanks Allison!
What is the maximum size JPG that I can / should upload into Image manager?
Hi Lauren,
The max image file size you can upload to the image manager is 500 KB.

During training, we were shown Auto Responder possibilities in both the Web Content setup form and the CD Form Designer's Actions tab.
My question is: will both always be supported or do you intend to deprecate and remove one in favor of the other?
For our project, we want to set up a workflow so that under a given circumstance, the Auto Responder Email Template and Subject values get updated for a given Web Content Form. This is easy if we use the Web Content entity's Auto Responder fields but seems not possible if we use the Auto Responder fields within the Form Designer...
Hi Louis-Alain,
At this point I don't believe we have any plans to depreciate the Auto Responder on the Web Content record in favor of the one in the designer. Many of our customers still use the front-facing Auto Responder.
Please let us know if you have questions and thanks for using the forum!
Hi I had set an email to go out at 14.00 today but the email is still in the outbox
Can you help?
Kind regards
Lotta
Hi Lotta,
It looks like you also submitted a ticket so we'll help you there. Thanks!
I'm continuing to see open events on a newsletter i sent out weeks ago. Is it possible the recipient replied to the email and we replied back to him and each time the new reply is getting opened it's creating an open event record for the original newsletter? I'm also wondering if the email might be getting forwarded by the original recipient and anyone else who opens it may be causing an open event to be created. Can you help explain this? I would be surprised if these people are still opening the original email this many times at this point.
Hi Stuart,
Yes, those are both valid reasons why this would be happening. As long as that 1 pixel by 1 pixel image that we put in the email is downloaded, it counts as an open. It doesn't matter who opens it, it will go back on that original recipient's record.
