Outlook - Email Formatting Issue

$

Hi -

I have imported HTML code using the Freestyle format.  In testing the email on multiple platforms and browsers everything appears to be formatted properly and works fine, however when viewing the email in Outlook there seems to be some formatting issues and I am not sure if the issue is originating from Click Dimensions, the HTML Code or Outlook?  If anyone has some idea of what it might be please respond.

Thank you.

We're not familiar with Wix, but taking a quick look at their website, it doesn't look like they do anything that would prevent you from using our tracking and forms. As long as you have access to the HTML of your website, you should be able to integrate our functionality.

Thanks for the reply. I asked Wix and they said that it is not possible to add HTML directly to the source code of the site but it is possible to add header codes. Can Click Dimensions be integrated into the site this way? Thanks

Ah, I see. In that case, you won't be able to integrate ClickDimensions. The tracking script needs to be in the body of the HTML just before the closing body tag, and for forms you'd either want to embed an iframe in the HTML or insert a javascript widget.

Hi Sean,

I apologize for the delay. This usually happens when content for the email has been copied and pasted from another source such as Word or another email without using our "Paste as Plain Text" option. Do you know if this is the case? We always recommend pasting as plain text and then formatting the text within the email template editor to ensure the most consistent results.

Please let me know how you generated your emali and we can go from there.

Thank you!

Hi Denise,

I apologize again for the delay and thanks again for including the relevant files. Your HTML looks good. I tested this and everything displayed properly (although since my set up is different I can't test dynamic content in the same way.)

The only thing I wonder is if maybe the email is not encoding properly? Perhaps you could add the HTML, head, encoding, and body tags and you may see more consistent results.

When you test this to your own internal Lead or Contact do you have real values stored in the appropriate records on your related Account? In the first email, does the code in the subject match the code in the body of the email?

Thanks for your patience as we look into this issue with you.

Hi Courtney -

Thanks for responding and sorry for my delay - I was out on Friday.  Anyway, I created a new email with the HTML code and updated each of the images to point to clickdimensions images.  However the formatting still seems to be amiss.  Is this something that I can have click dimensions look at as I am at my wits end.  Please let me know.  If there is a fee associated with this I am ok with that.  Please let me know.

Email newsletter is attached.

Thank you

Sean

Hi Sean,

I think it would be better to work on this in the ticket that you have open - number 14180. If you can send us the URL to the designer of your email template that would really help. Please watch this short video which shows which URL we need: https://vimeo.com/clickdimensions/review/65333783/61245f0a1e.

Place that URL in the ticket, not here on the public forum. Thank you!

Another question for you that you can answer in the ticket - Do you have Internet Explorer 11 installed on your computer?

Thank you!

Hi Courtney,

I will see about adding tags as suggested - I did send this to myself internally today with the same results (attached).  this seems to happen most frequently on a custom money field...maybe that's a clue?

Hi Courtney,

My organization is facing the same error when trying to navigate to the same location in CRM (under Web Content, select an Active Web Content, then click Design).  We receive the following error message (similar to Brent's).

Hi Denise,

My concern is what is actually in the fields that are attached to your record. Do you have real data in there? Can you send me a screenshot of what is in the reqfundingamount field on the Account record your Contact is associated with?

If that doesn't show us anything our next still will be to escalate this to a ticket in order to set up a GoToMeeting to look at this together.

Hi Courtney.

This field is on the Account table (you will see "Lead" on the snapshot - we have only changed the label for the Account entity to Lead for our users).  Screenshot attached.

"How to send one-off tracked email to a lead" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Evan Gawel

Hello All,

I'm going back to Nick's comment on this thread. I have been able to send the email send to the particular contact and the contact received the email, however, there is nothing on the contact record that would indicate that an email has been sent to them. I have checked the email send and the "track email events" was clicked yes, yet there is no type of tracking for the contact. When looking at the email send record email events there is only one event saying "Request accepted. Beginning processing," I have let it run overnight and there has been no progress in terms of the tracking of that email. Is there something I'm missing with this process? Ultimately, I would like to be able to track the emails that were sent using the Send Email CD function for the contact record.

Hi Cortney,

Here is the detail of the field behind the dynamic data.

Denise

can I select which version I want to upgrade to ?

In the Upgrade dialog of Dynamics CRM 2011, there is a section which says "download the latest version".

As the updates of ClickDimension also require updates of CRM, I want to know if it is possible to choose the version to which I want to upgrade.

Suppose I have a CRM system which is at 4.0.3. If I update to the latest version of ClickDimensions, this is 5.0.4. This however requires Rollup 12. Which has more impact on the upgrade, while 5.0.3 does not require rollup of Dynamics.

Can I select the 5.0.3 for this moment and in a later time plan the upgrade to 5.0.4 ?

Hi Denise,

Thank you for providing that information. Would you mind opening a ticket with our support team so we can set up a call (I'll still be helping you). You can just copy and paste your first post and send it to support@clickdimensions.com to open the ticket. If you could also send along your availability and time zone we can look into setting up a call.

Thank you!

Hi Andre,

No, unfortunately there is no way to upgrade to an earlier version of our solution.

Albert,

This indicates that the service user we have on record for your account cannot connect to your CRM. You can try to re-set the password by going to Settings > ClickDimensions Settings and clicking on "Service Credentials". If it is not just the password for the user that is listed there, then please open a support ticket at http://support.clickdimensions.com.

Thanks.

Adding a Form to an email template

Hello,

I have created a form in CRM and am trying to embed this into an email template using the block editor. I have copied the iframe code and pasted this into the html section on the block editor, however the form is not appearing, there is just an empty space.

Is there something I am missing? The forms have worked fine when we have embedded the iframe code onto our website, so we cannot understand why it won't work in an email.

Many thanks

Becky
