I have a project where there is a requirement to enforce a communications policy to prevent sending out too many emails to contacts.
Examples of the business rules tied to the policy:
- maximum number of promo emails per month
- minimum x days between sends for each contact.
How would I go about setting this up within ClickDimensions?
I was thinking adding a plugin to re-filter of the Email Sends' marketing list(s) to take out any contact that would run up against the above business rules. This would be either a separate step before hitting 'Send' or something that would get trigger when hitting 'Send' to execute before the usual steps tied to the 'Send' button (not sure if latter is technically feasible yet).
I have search a fair bit on this sort of request but I get the feeling that the common approach is to monitor the results of current sends and adjust future sends accordingly, no actual rules enforced in email marketing apps. Am I wrong?
