How did you remove the members from your marketing list? In general, removing a member from a nurture marketing list will remove them from the nurture. However, there is a CRM bug that stops the nurture from recognizing that a member was removed if they are removed using either the Manage Members > Remove Using an Advanced Find or Manage Members > Evaluate Using an Advanced Find options from the marketing list record. If you used either of these options, the nurture would not be cancelled for those members, so you would need to go to the nurture timelines in the nurture record, select those members' nurture instances, and cancel them.
