"Survey not creating new lead" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Rhys Saraceni

Hello Phil

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble! For clarification, is the survey creating new contacts instead of new leads, new leads are being created without names, or are the survey submissions associating with preexisting records rather than making new leads?

In the case of the first option, try double checking that the "create new visitor as" field on the web content record is set to "lead", then click the "publish" button, clear your browser cache, try submitting the survey again, and see if that makes a difference for you.

In the case of the second option, surveys do not map any data other than email address, so if you want to map other survey data, you would need to set up a workflow that runs on the creation of new survey answer records and maps their values into the associated lead record.

In the case of the last option, it is normal functionality for survey results to associate with a preexisting lead or contact instead of creating a new record if the email used in the survey matches a preexisting record's email address. Unfortunately, this cannot be adjusted to make a new lead every time.
