"Identifying lead/contact from email link to allow website personalisation" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Rhys Saraceni

Hi Kevin

That's fine, you can use primarily the same dynamic content in link parameters as you use in the email body. So for example, if you wanted to add the recipient's first name as a parameter, normally the dynamic content would be ${Recipient.contact.firstname[0]!""}, and you could add that to a link like so: www.site.com/page?firstname=${recipient.contact.firstname[0]}

You will need to remove the exclamation mark and quotation marks because when the link html is processed, the quotation marks would erroneously be treated as the end of the link, causing it to break. The article I provided initially includes and example of a link with some dynamic content included as parameters.
