Nurture Campaign question

I am setting up a nurture campaign that will send out 10 emails over time.  My issue is, we don't have the copy for the 10th email yet, but we need to send out the first one tomorrow.  If I set it up to send the first 9, and add the 10th when i get the copy, will that work?  Or are the steps in a nurture campaign set as soon as you hit run?
