"Programmatic Form Capture: Error Message" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Phil Drake

Hi Manuela,

This could be due to a plugin failure in CRM, unless you are calling the wrong Form Capture form action in the code. If you confirm that the form action you are posting to matches the "Form Capture" record in CRM then that means it's a plugin failure. If that's the case then you can try making a change to the Form Capture record in CRM where you just add a character to the name for example, save it, and then switch it back and save again. If the error persists then the next step is to recreate a new Form Capture record in CRM (which will create a new "form action") and then post again. Let us know what happens.

I would love to be able to edit the HTML of individual text fields, because converting to freestyle is way overkill for the reasons why I need it access to the html. OR, better yet, I'd like a button that strips all formatting. I have no idea how to change the style of text to a global H1 style after the text already has some formatting treatment. The font size won't go away. I just need access to remove the style tag that still remains.

Hi Annemarie,

There are no known issues at the moment with upgrading from 2011 to 2015. Just make sure to submit a support request once your upgrade is complete and we will update the version on your account and send you a new solution file for import.

Thanks!

Annemarie,

There is one issue that I neglected to mention above that is highlighted here. It's very specific though so you may not encounter it:

Hi Annemarie,

As far as we're concerned, we just need to know when you have upgraded and then we'll update it on this end and send you a correct solution file. There is an issue if you happen to have ClickDimensions installed prior to upgrading to 2015 that is noted here: http://support.clickdimensions.com/entries/62481950-CRM-2015-Bug-causes-solution-update-to-fail-in-upgraded-CRM-orgs

You will get an error message when you attempt to import our solution after we send it to you, so if you run into that, we'll help you with it.

Thanks

@Martin, we ended up figuring out we were having problems with conflicting Javascript on those pages. In one case, we had to move the ClickDimensions form embed code to a different master page altogether, and in others, we just had to move it to the bottom of the page so it didn't conflict.

Hope that helps!

Hello Duane and Brooke

Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to set a nurture to not send emails on a certain day. In regard to the workflow point, you can run workflows in a nurture, but the workflows cannot affect the path the nurture follows outside of the workflow.

Hello Cindy

Whether or not you choose to send internal email via ClickDimensions depends primarily upon whether or not you want or need to track how your colleagues respond to your emails. If you need to see if they are opening and clicking the email, then go for it. However, ClickDimensions licenses do include a finite number of emails per year (http://clickdimensions.com/pricing/), so if you use ClickDimensions to send to your internal employees, that will cut down on the number of available emails to send to customers.

You will need to create lead or contact records for your colleagues if you want to send to them via ClickDimensions.

I found this blog post a while ago and forgot to update this forum post: It is working as expected. We did create a workflow to supply account and contact from the case back to survey submission.

Hi Joris.

I see that you never received an answer on "How to Center a Form"

You can simple insert this to your css style:

#clickdimensionsForm {
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
width: 400px;
}

Ah! Just the thing I was about to write a post about! I'm having the same problem. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why a person that was in a marketing list didn't have a new email send record, after he was included in an email campaign. I went into the Email SEnd record and saw the unsubscribes that were excluded, and he was there. I went back to his record, and his bulk email is still set at Allow, and the Unsubscribes tab within his record shows nothing.

Try to do an Advanced Find and look for Unsubscribes where the email address is that person's email address. There may be more than one contact/lead with that email address and it may be associated to that one instead. When we look for unsubscribes we look for any unsubscribe record with the email address.

Okay, can this be done with any of the other editors?

How do I make a feature request: the ability to load additional fonts into the editor?

Global Unsubscribe for Contacts shared between organisations using one CRM

$

Hi All,

My organisation signed up to trail CD for few months so that end users test it's functionality and we can ensure that it fits our requirements but also to help us define the requirements as we are trying to move multiple parts of the organisation with very different areas of "business" to a single CRM system and discontinue using of multiple separate email marketing applications and centralise everything in CRM.

So whilst I was setting CD up, I have ran into the following scenario, let's look at a Contact:

As it is a shared Accounts & Contacts data system - every department/business area will have their own version of the Contact form capturing different information and subscription options (updated via a workflow based on the subscription preferences submission).  Often 2 or 3 of the departments / business areas will have to deal with the same 1 Contact. Email Sends are managed separately by the marketing professionals within the different business areas.

So 1 Business area will send out an email to a Contact with their own subscription pref page where the option for global Opt-Out will be available, although once selected this will set the global option for contact - Bulk Email - "Do Not Allow" and stop other business areas to send out emails to this individual even if it may be actually subscribed to receive comms from them.

It is not appropriate to display all the subscription lists for all business areas on CRM as they are intended to be around 6 areas with very different activities and 1 contact may be relevant to 2 or 3 of them but not to all of the 6 ones so that recipients won't even understand what some of the options are and that'd give an opportunity to unsubscribe from something they have not even received...

Any thoughts around how to manage the above would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Thanks in advance and best wishes,

Adriana

No bueno. :( There's only one record for this guy. I also looked up 3 other unsubscribes from the email send record, and none of their records show any sign of unsubscribing either.

Hi,

What if you have 2 contact records, both at the same organization and both with the same personnel assistant, therefore the email address on both contact records is the personnel assistants. If you wish to send both contacts a personlised EDM and you attach them to the same marketing list, does it send the EDM to both contacts or just one?

Many thanks

Michelle

Hi Brooke,

What about the "Do Not Allow Email" field? We look at that one as well as the "Do Not Allow Bulk Email" field. Both need to be set to "Allow".

Hello Jeff

Unfortunately, none of the editors currently support importing new fonts, but in the Block, Freestyle, and Custom HTML editors, you can specify the font you want to use in your HTML and the fonts should work as long as the recipient's browser supports it.

We already have a feature request for this functionality. If you would like to vote in support of it or add a comment, you can do so here: http://support.clickdimensions.com/entries/22908180-Add-font-to-ClickDimensions-Email-Template-Editor
