"Data associated to deleted leads still shown" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Léopoldine Brand

Hi Courtney,

Ok, thanks for the information.
Is this somewhere as an improvement request I can vote for? I personally in any case would prefer all associated records to a deleted record to be erased as well from the system.

Thanks for all your help
Best,
Léopoldine

Hi Clara,

Our surveys use the same class for all our Next buttons, and so I'm not sure that it's possible to hide just one Next button without extracting the code and changing the HTML. If you were willing to do this, you could go to Embed > Embed as Link > Download File and give each button a different  class or id so you can hide only certain ones.

Please let us know if you have any questions and thanks for using the forum!

Hi Léopoldine,

I don't believe we have that logged yet, but I'd encourage you to open a Feature Request for that here: http://support.clickdimensions.com/forums/356780-Feature-Requests

Can I Set Up Email Notifications for Lead Owners in an Email Send?

We send out a monthly newsletter, and I want to notify the Lead/Contact Owner when their Lead or Contact clicks on a link in the newsletter. Is there a way to set that up?

Is there a way to prevent a contact or lead from entering multiple nurture campaigns?

We are setting up a nurture campaign for all those that have filled out a sample pack request form on our website. What we are worried about is if they enter into this nurture program and then request a different sample pack or the same sample pack again will it enter them again into the nurture campaign? What if they are in an event nurture campaign and they request a sample pack request on our website?

For example we have three nurture campaigns set up. One for sample pack request, one for whitepaper request, and one we add for all leads from events. If a lead is in one of these nurture programs will they be added again to these campaigns if they request a whitepaper or sample pack?

We are just trying to prevent a contact or lead from entering multiple nurture campaigns. If there is a blog post about this or a form posted already on your website please let us know.

Thanks!

Hello Joris

That is correct; the clone would be created by the ClickDimensions service user. If you would like us to consider changing how this process is handled, please feel free to submit a feature request using the following url:

http://support.clickdimensions.com/forums/356780-Feature-Requests/entries/new

Otherwise, you could avoid this concern by using the copy to static list option on your dynamic list then sending to that static copy.

Are there currently any issues "Processing" email sends right now? We have had a couple email sends try to go out but both seem to be hung up. The message in the email events record is "Request accepted. Beginning processing."

Thanks,

Mike

"What might be a reason an email is blocked, apart from unsubscribed or missing email?" in ClickDimensions Help - comment added by Bente Fredslund

Hi there

I have three excluded emails in a newsletter sent. The reason is stated as "blocked". I wouild like to know more about why they are blocked.

If I look at the Excluded emails associated view for the newsletter, I have no option to select "message" as the supporter Allison Macedo suggests above. At least I cannot see it, if I try to make a personal view via the excluded mails (and try to add columns).

If I look at Email events for the newsletter, the excluded mails are not present, I guess because this is not bounce etc.

Can you guide me where to find the reason for the "Blocked" emails

Best regards Bente

Hello Bente

A recipient will generally be blocked because of one of the following reasons:

  • they received 4+ soft bounces in a 3 month period
  • they received 1 hard bounce
  • they received your email and manually marked it as spam

To determine why somebody has been blocked, you would need to look at their email events from previous emails, not for the email where you see the blocked excluded email. You should be able to see something like soft bounces, invalid recipient events, etc, and if you open those bounce email events that is where you will see the message field containing the message provided from the recipient's mail server indicating why the email bounced.

Hi Courtney

This might be a little more complicated than we're looking for! However, if we explore this option in the future - is there a way once we've changed the html to get it back into CRM/Clickdimensions or would we pretty much have to set up a separate form capture? Would it still work like a ClickDimensions form or would it behave more like a separate 3rd party html form?

Thanks,
Clara

Hi Mike,

There are no problems with our service. I see that you have opened a ticket with our support team and they will provide you with assistance there with regards to the issue you are encountering. Usually when you see "Request accepted. Beginning processing." but the emails do not send, this may indicate a problem with the HTML in the email template (for example a personalization field that references a custom field in CRM that we are not aware of if the metadata has not been published). Our support team can help to determine what the issue is.

Hello Natalie

If you only want to alert the owner when a link is clicked and it does not matter which one, you can accomplish this by setting up a workflow that runs when the value of the click field on a sent email record changes, then in the workflow, check if clicks > 0 and if so, send an email to the owner of the recipient's record.

If you want to check for a specific link, you can run a workflow when a new email event is created, check to see if the email event type is "click" and if the url is that of the link you are interested in. If so, send an email to the owner of the recipient's record. This option will trigger a workflow every time an email event is created, so it may put a strain on your CRM's performance if you are sending out a large quantity of emails.

Hi Cameron

I provided the following response on your support ticket, but I will post it here as well in case any other users are curious:

Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to prevent somebody from being added to multiple nurtures, but you can immediately remove them from extra nurtures they are put into. To do this, you could create an on demand workflow that you set as the first step of your nurtures, and add a custom "been in nurture?" two-option field to your leads/contacts. In the workflow, you could check to see if the field is set to no, then set it to yes and have them go through the nurture. Then you could check to see if it is yes already, and if so, remove them from the nurture marketing list.

Hi Clara,

This option should be possible, but I think it's more recommended if you have a web developer on your team who can help .Once you extract the code, you won't be able to see changes you make in the designer populate in your form; the two would be entirely separate.

What happens if you DO Have subscription management enabled and the person who received the forwarded email decides that they WANT to subscribe based on what they see in the forwarded email?

I'm in the same boat as @KyleRohde - please confirm the fix asap as my line managers aren't seeing the  automation aspect of the 'marketing automation software' I've sold in to them?!

Hello Ashley

If the person to whom the email was forwarded submits the subscription page along with their own email address and gives opt in preferences, either a new lead or contact will be created based on the email address and the preferences will be attributed to that person, or if the person already exists as a lead or contact in your CRM, the preferences will be attributed to the existing lead or contact whose email address matches the one submitted.
